Where Nature Meets Legacy

Nestled in the scenic Taebaek Mountains of Gangwon Province, South Korea, PyeongChang is a region that combines natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and a deep connection to winter sports. Known as the "Alps of Korea", it is celebrated for its picturesque landscapes, vibrant history, and role as a global hub for winter sports.

A Harmony with Nature

PyeongChang boasts stunning natural attractions, including Odaesan National Park, where trails weave through the serene Taebaek Mountains. The park is home to several historic Buddhist temples, such as Woljeongsa Temple, famous for its nine-story octagonal pagoda. Beyond its mountainous charm, PyeongChang offers unique experiences like Herbnara Farm, featuring seven themed gardens along the Heungjeong Valley, and the Lee Hyo-seok Culture Village, dedicated to the life and works of the early 20th-century poet. The county's lush landscapes and vast ranches make it a haven for those seeking a connection with nature.

Korean Alps: A Winter Sports Mecca

As the birthplace of Korean skiing, PyeongChang has been at the heart of winter sports since the establishment of one of the country’s first ski fields in 1949.
