Venue of the Conference

The 26th International Congress on Snow Sports Trauma and Safety and the 39th Congress of the International Society for Snowsports Medicine (ISSS 2026) will convene from March 8-13, 2026, at the renowned MONA Yongpyong Resort, Dragon Valley Hotel (Grand Ballroom) in PyeongChang, Korea .

The Congress is scheduled to commence on Sunday (March 8th) at 18:00 with a plenary session and will be followed by the opening ceremony at 19:00. On Friday (March 13th), the Congress will conclude with a closing ceremony and a gala dinner, both of which are set to begin at 19:00.

    A direct winter shuttle operates from Incheon International Airport to Yongpyong Resort.

    • Terminal 2: Departs at 9:30 AM (Gate 3, Platform 2B/3A).

    • Travel Time: 3 to 3.5 hours.

    • Take the Airport Railroad Express (AREX) to Seoul Station.
    • Transfer to a KTX train to Jinbu Station.
    • From Jinbu Station, use a local bus or taxi to reach the resort.

    Intercity buses run from Dong Seoul Bus Terminal to Hoenggye Bus Terminal. From there, local buses or taxis will take you the remaining 3 kilometers to the resort.

From Seoul
From Seoul, drive via the Gyeongbu Expressway (No. 1) and Yeongdong Expressway (No. 50). Exit at the Daegwallyeong Interchange and follow the signs to Yongpyong Resort. The journey typically takes 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic.
By Train
From Seoul
Take a KTX train from Seoul Station to Jinbu Station. The train ride takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. From Jinbu Station, local buses and taxis are available for the 20-minute journey to Yongpyong Resort.

WEATHER

Pyeongchang in March marks the transition from winter to spring. The average daytime temperature in March is around 6°C (43°F), while nighttime temperatures can drop to -4°C (25°F). Snowfall is still possible in early March, gradually giving way to occasional rain as the month progresses. On average, there are about 8 days of precipitation in March, with an average rainfall of 55 mm (2.2 in).
